Intercultural Training

My intercultural trainings enable clients to thrive in high diversity environments.

Intercultural Training provides the skills necessary to bridge cultural gaps in the private and professional domains. To this date, a staggering number of international projects and partnerships fail to reach their true potential due to mismatched expectations and communication styles. A good intercultural trainer should combine sufficient personal experience with the situation of his clients and substantial theoretical knowledge to offer working solutions.

In my trainings, I combine real-life examples of critical cultural misunderstandings with the lessons I learned throughout two decades of expat life and international research (see “About Me”). Many practical exercises ensure that participants not only understand the challenges at hand, but really experience and internalize the most efficient strategies to overcome them.

Topics I typically cover include (but are not limited to):

  • efficient communication in multinational teams and partnerships
  • candidate selection and preparation for overseas assignments
  • overcoming social and cultural isolation abroad
  • balancing multiple identities and role expectations

Due to their practical nature, the single-day and two-day intensive workshops I offer are limited to a maximum of 15 participants. If you are interested in a personalized individual training, conditions and schedules of the coaching format apply.
